∼One major problems people have and exhibit is the habit of lateness. Lateness is condition, state, or quality of being late or not on scheduled time. We display lateness to work, functions, and events and to the house of God. Some people do it intentionally, just to feel cool and important. While others can not help the condition.
The attitude of lateness in most people is contributed by circumstances beyond their control and lack of proper planning. Some have this mentality that, everyone are latecomer, so going to events early is a waste of time. They forgot, that they are everyone too.
Lateness to any event doesn’t not make one funky or cool. It tells more of your kind of personality. Remember people are always watching and taking note. Some go late their own show, their own weddings, their life changing events, their children and spouses ceremony. It is really crazy and pitiable. It has become an imbibed habits for some
Late attitude especially the ones that people purposely do to prove silly point. If you are mostly late because of environmental factors, such as bad roads, heavy traffic or check point delay and others. It’s reasonable, but those perfectly planned out behaviour of not going to events early, just to display self-important is total nonsense.
Going late to an event, work, church and other gatherings is an insult to the organizers, to your boss and insult to God. Remember the law of karma.
In the light of this. There are few things we can do, to avoid and reduced going late to any functions and work. The funniest part is that most of us know these already, but we don’t practice them. Because we love excuses.
If you know that you have a job, events, church or any ceremonies to attend the next day, why not plan for that today? Planning for the event you have to attend the next day will help reduced the amount of things and time you will waste that day. It will make things easier for you. This is a popular saying that “if you failed to plan you are planning to fail” waiting till the deadline to do something is kind of tacky. Because you will be running from pillar to pole trying to do this and that. Sweating profusely, knocking off things and looking confused.
Going late to functions, church and work is a habit that you can overcome with determination. Some of us are perpetual latecomer. Sometimes we make an effort to be early then later slide back to our habit. Determination is the key. When you are in total agreement with your soul, body and mind to cut down on lateness it can be achieved.
Sort out what you will wear, iron it before you sleep. Polish and clean your footwear.
Bring out all the essential items you need for that day.
Check your vehicle to ensure that it on a good condition.
If you are to take a public transport ensure you have your money broken down. Not to caused unnecessary delay for you with the driver. Or if you are to use uber, call them on time and describe your location well.
Always try your best to sleep early. Some persons can sleep for an hour and they are good to go. While others can sleep for long. To be on a safe side, sleep early. The importance of sleeping early can not be overstressed
If you are the type that sleep deep. No amount of noise can affect you, please set an alarm. It will help you wake on time.
Let’s reduced lateness. Do not do it because others are doing. Remember change begins with one person and that Person is you.
